Weak longs do not provide growth opportunities. The big players stay away.

Analysis of the S&P 500 (ES1!) index 01.25.23

What’s on the market now:

Today index S&P500, (ES1!) is trading at 4017. As expected earlier yesterday, we saw the market stabilize. The market reversed at the level of 4000 and tried to start growing. However, the strength of the market is still not enough for a sharp increase. As I mentioned earlier, if this attempt to rise is broken, we will see the index drop to the level of 3965-3945.

Globally, the market continues to be positive. There is a lot of free cash on the market that can provide a sharp increase in the index. However, funds are not ready to invest them, as they consider current prices to be high. Funds are still not ready to take risks.

What today:

Today I expect an attempt to increase the index to the level of 4030-4040 and above. However, if this attempt is broken, then we will see a sharp drop in the index to the level of 3950-3945. Where should we look for opportunities to open long positions.

Here are my trading recommendations for today 01.25.23

What I recommend:

  • If you want to open a short position:

Short positions are possible from 4160 level, limit your losses

  • If you want to buy:

Long positions are possible from 3965-3940 level, limit your losses

  • If you are not in the market:

If you’re out of the market. Then you need the perfect price to trade. Long positions possible on pullbacks from 3970-4000,  limit your losses. If you want to open a short position, then it is better to do it from the level of 4160. Limit your losses.
